For electricians, plumbers, builders & groundworkers
A website on the same terms you work.
You price a job, you do it, you get paid once, and the customer keeps the work. That is how I sell websites. Fixed price up front, built around getting you found and phoned, then handed over with the code in your name.

The problem with the going rate
You wouldn't invoice a customer every month for a consumer unit you fitted in 2019.
So it is a fair question why your web designer does. The monthly is not hosting — hosting is a few quid. It is rent on a website you paid to have built, on a platform you cannot leave, held together by the fact that walking away means losing the lot.
// The subscription way
£3,240
£45/month × 6 years — still not yours
Cancel and the site goes dark. Want the files? They are on their platform, in their format. Need a phone number changed? That is a ticket.
// This way

Paid on completion — then nothing
You own the code, the domain and the Google listing. Host it anywhere for pocket change. If we never speak again, your website carries on working.
What it's actually built to do
Three jobs. Nothing else on the invoice.
A trade website has one purpose: turn someone who has just had a leak into someone ringing your mobile. Everything here serves that. There is no blog you will never write and no animated hero video.
01
Get found locally
Google Business Profile set up properly and tied to the site — service areas, categories, opening hours, photos. Pages written around what people actually search: the trade, the job, the town.
02
Get contacted
Click-to-call that works with a thumb on a scaffold. A quote form that asks the four things you need and nothing more, landing straight in your inbox with the job details already in the subject line.
03
Get trusted
Your certifications where people look for them — NICEIC, Gas Safe, CSCS, public liability. Real photos of real jobs. Reviews pulled through from Google, not invented testimonials.
How the job runs
Priced, built, handed over.
Same shape as any job you would take on. You know the price before it starts, you know what is included, and at the end you get the keys.
01
The quote
Twenty minutes on the phone about your trade, your patch and the work you want more of. You get a fixed price in writing. No day rates, no scope creep.
02
The build
Usually seven to ten days. I write the copy, sort the photos, register the domain and set up your Google listing. You get one link to look at and one round of changes.
03
The handover
Site goes live, invoice is settled, and you get a folder with the code, the domain login and the Google Business access. All in your name. That is the last you hear from me unless you want more work done.
Tell me the trade and the town. I'll price it.
No callout charge — obviously
